Role Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in the Middle east. The role will be a Site based SCADA/ Instrumentation Engineer on a very prestigious project within the region.

Responsibilities:
• Review and recommend approval of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, requests for changes, and requests for information in their respective discipline.
• Provide technical advice to the RE and CRE and as appropriate direction to the field inspectors.
• Provide for minor designs as directed.
• Provide Support for contractor and client liaison meetings in relation to materials submitted.
• Responsible for providing comment on requests for contract variation orders under their discipline.
• Provide additional coverage for field inspections as required by the project.
• Preparation of the minutes of any special meetings required, where requested. This will include follow-up for completion of critical issues and tasks.
• Monitoring related data files to check that data entry is current and accurate. This includes Issues Files, Disputed Work, Claims, RFIs and Correspondence.
• Maintaining a register of any positive or negative variations created due to site level activities or agreements.
• Maintaining documentation for Contract Closeout including requirements for Controlled Inspections, Occupation or Use Prior to Completion, Substantial Completion, Extensions of Time and Final Reporting and Equipment Tracking Logs.
• Maintaining a Log of the Contractor’s Non-conformances and their status.
• Maintaining Issues File Logs.
• Verifying As-Built information submitted by the Contractors against the As-Built set of Contract Drawings.
• Review and approval of start-up and commissioning plan.
• Inspect the work on completion of each contract.
• Prepare snag lists of omissions and deficiencies.
• Certify that all testing is documented and was performed with satisfactory results.
• Assist during start-up and commissioning.
• Ensure that they and their junior staff comply with the project HASP.
• Support in the training of more junior staff to improve their skill set and efficiency.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
• Have 10 years in increasingly responsible positions,
• Past experience shall include successfully completing a previous position as Engineer on a Project of related works.
