Job Description:
Brunel is seeking a highly skilled Soil & Groundwater Specialist / Hydrogeologist to join an international oil & gas project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field investigations, environmental risk assessments, and developing remediation strategies for contaminated land and groundwater.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive site investigations and environmental assessments
• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, testing, and contamination analysis
• Develop and implement remediation plans in compliance with local and international standards
• Evaluate hydrogeological data and prepare groundwater flow models
• Coordinate with environmental consultants, regulators, and internal project teams
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for regulatory submissions
• Monitor environmental compliance during construction and operations phases
• Support environmental permitting and closure activities

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geosciences, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Environmental Services sector
• Strong knowledge of soil and groundwater contamination, risk evaluation, and remediation technologies
• Experience with environmental monitoring, site closures, and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with GCC environmental standards is preferred
• Excellent technical reporting and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
