Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Ensure effective engagement and management of Stakeholders
• Ensure that relevant communication protocols are in place to inform Stakeholders of Programme and Project related activities
• Manage events, public, media and community relations to strengthen and maintain a strong relationship between the organization and external stakeholders
• Provide approvals for all of the Community Relations, Events and PR activities in conjunction with the senior management and within approved budgets
• Maintains effective working relationships with local and municipal government officials and media representatives
• Manage an organization's reputation with the public in general and clients
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
• Engage with the Authority’s management generally to ensure that key messages are effectively communicated
• Manage the progress and planning of events
• Responds to information queries from media and the public
• Identify and proactively take steps to address areas which are impacting or could impact the Programme generally and individual projects (planned or operational)
• Develop and maintain valuable stakeholder relationships
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies
• Assist business units to effectively consult and engage stakeholders on relevant projects
• Implement the firm’s stakeholder engagement guidelines
• Ensure access and equity principles are considered and included in relevant strategies and programs
• Manage stakeholder satisfaction research projects, including developing and implementing strategies for continually improving stakeholder satisfaction across the scheme
• Manage stakeholder forums, meetings and special events
• Oversee implementation of the firms’ access and equity service level agreement with local law / authorities
• Coordinate stakeholder contact through the implementation of a stakeholder contact management system
• Provide content and updates for various levels of management reporting and environmental scanning processes
• Meet with internal and external stakeholders to identify and facilitate the resolution of Programme / Project pathway challenges
• Work closely with regulatory authorities, developing and maintaining working relationships
• Act as the Programme / Projects key strategic focal point
• Develop, maintain and manage Programme and Project wide stakeholder management plans

Requirements

• University degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field or equivalent. Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes; preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years GCC work experience to be considered for this role
• Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects
• Evidence of suitable professional qualification or equivalent is preferable
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Arabic language skills
• Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region
• Driver’s License
