Job Description

How your day looks like:

• Ensures that working areas and equipment are hygienically clean and in order and that supplies are on hand with proper control, to ensure efficient service.
• Conducts bi-monthly inventory of operating equipment in all outlets to ensure control of breakage and losses.
• Initiates requisition for cleaning materials and other supplies to the minimum to prevent wastage and misuse.
• Schedules daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of food production outlets and equipment.
• Ensures that proper hygiene and sanitation are observed in all areas including the staff cafeteria.
• Monitors the consumption of chemicals in all machines and wash-up areas.
• To have complete understanding of and adhere to the company's policy relating to fire, hygiene, and safety.
• To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• To evaluate the performance of individual stewarding personnel based on the quality.
• Ensures low breakage and proper maintenance of all equipment by facilitating appropriate training.
• Controls the release of equipment to banquet for outside catering.
• Oversees the proper maintenance of all dishwashing machines in his areas.
• Sets auditing and inspection schedules of F&B areas and coordinates with the engineering department to ensure proper maintenance of all machinery and food processing equipment.
• Communicates effectively with guests, immediate superiors, business partners, and staff.
• Participates in community projects or activities in order to promote the hotel's image and cooperation to improve community relationships.
• To be a good salesperson to promote the hotel's image and business.
• Participates in all activities related to municipality food hygiene meetings, assured safe catering program, etc.
• Exercises administrative supervision over all stewarding personnel that include personnel requisition, promotion, granting of disciplinary action, training, rosters, and overtime requests.
• To have complete documentation of all stewarding activities such as:
• Daily hygiene checklist / assured safe catering
• Training records
• F&B operating equipment records
• Pending maintenance records

Qualifications

• Secondary or high school education will be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Service-oriented with an eye for details.
• Ability to work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
• A team player and builder.
• A motivator and self-starter.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
