Charterhouse is working with a leading, well-established and highly-regarded semi-government organisation in Qatar. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Marketing our client is looking to hire an ambitious, driven and dedicated Strategic Marketing Specialist to join their marketing team.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning and implementing marketing initiatives and developing advertising and sponsorship opportunities. You will be responsible for campaign and projects management, such as preparing marketing briefs and ensuring media channels identified align within the media plan and assisting in the preparation of the integrated marketing plan. You will also be responsible for the execution of media bookings requests, identifying media and advertising opportunities, digital content and corporate video concept creation working with the digital and social media teams and assisting with SOP formulation and development. Other accountabilities include formulating and updating customer surveys analysing results and findings, as well as identifying, evaluating, pursuing and developing corporate sponsorships aligned to the corporate strategy.
The successful candidate should have Degree in marketing or communications and a project management certification would be advantageous. You should have 6-8 years’ experience in the same role preferably in a large organisation, at least 2 of which will be in a supervisory role. You should have a proven track record of achievement within a strategic planning and proposal development, and in the identification, solicitation and closing of corporate sponsorship deals. Knowledge of corporate and foundation funding trends, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, corporate giving, and the methods, practices & procedures of cause-marketing programs; experience developing corporate sponsorships strongly preferred. In addition, you should also have excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and project management skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely is also required. Arabic is preferred.
