Job description / Role
Charterhouse has partnered with one of the leading conglomerates in Qatar to appoint a new Strategy Manager within Business Development space. This is a newly created role and is expected to be the first point of contact for any new business spanning across all business units including franchise, distribution and retail.
As Strategy Manager, you will report to the Business Development Director and shall be responsible for strategizing, initiating and sustaining relations with existing as well as potential business partners whilst conducting necessary research on viability of projects.
You will be expected to conduct macro-economic assessments including focus group, mystery shopping, industry analysis, market sizing and gap analysis. This role is heavily geared towards evaluation and identification of investment opportunities through a channel of investments, due diligence and detailed financial analysis. This analysis shall include the development and running of financial models to support the team across all areas of market/sector research, advisory, commercial reviews and performance monitoring.
In conjunction, the role shall also be focused towards pitch presentations and marketing memorandums in the support of any negotiation and transaction execution.
The client will look for at least 8 years of strong strategy experience in a reputed management consulting firm. The successful candidate will hold a top-tier Degree; additional qualifications in Sales and Marketing is highly preferred. Ideally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate high level of analytical skills coupled with a clear understanding of corporate strategy and finance. Big4 advisory and/or transaction services background within operations and retail will be advantageous.
Due to the nature of the Qatar market, the client is open to candidates within MENA and international markets, whom are open to a relocation opportunity.
