Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Inspects a full range of construction progress which may include ensuring procedures and materials comply with specifications and client approval.
• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship.
• Responds to request for information regarding construction projects
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer services.
• Prepares all types of technical reports, record drawings, and site diary.
• Verify the quality, correctness, and time delivery of the work activities.
• To ensure that the safety standards are met, and preparing periodical safety reports.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, prequalification, method statements, tests’ results, and all other technical documents.
• Providing fully technical support to the contractor’s team.
• Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.
• Professional and responsible in dealing with the Client/Stakeholders.
• Maintain good standards in written and verbal communications with the Contractor.
• All quality defects are identified and corrective measures taken to minimize re-occurrence.
• Serves as liaison with the contractor’s staff at the appropriate and corresponding level.
• Keeps a site record of significant events, verbal instructions, telephone conversations and weather conditions.
• Reports problems at site and possible solutions.
• Liaising with the project planning engineer regarding construction programme.
• Liaising with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements.
• Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions.
• Preparing financial statement and review contractors’ invoices.

Requirements

• Must be Grade A certified Engineer from MMUP
• Excellent proficiency in English Language (Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• AutoCAD proficiency
• Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of LEED and/or GSAS & BIM
• Proficiency in the use of all types of surveying devices.

Shall be familiar with Qatar Construction Specifications, and American codes and standards , but not limited to:
• Qatar Construction Specifications, QCS 2014
• American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM
• British Standards, BS
• American Concrete Institute, ACI 318-14
• American Society of Civil Engineers, ASCE
• International Building Code, IBC
• American Institute of steel construction, AISC
