Position Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Foundation and Pre-Medical Academic Counselor and the Pre-Medical Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. This role will require coordination between foundation and premedical students, the faculty, teaching specialists and Student Affairs.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manages the calendar of the Foundation and Pre-medical Academic Counselor by screening and arranging appointments with the students, faculty and Teaching Specialists.
• Collects documents needed for the advising meetings and the P&G committee meetings such as student grades report, answer routine inquiries and manage room booking process for meetings.
• Communicates issues to the Academic Counselor in relation to student academic development and professionalism, coordinating between students, faculty and teaching specialists; provide guidance to students on established process and procedure.
• Coordinates the registration process for the MCAT registration including assigning time slots for students, compiling spread sheets with student information, room booking, corresponding with students regarding process and deadlines.
• Coordinates the application process of the program; disseminating applications, collect data, coordinate with faculty, schedule interviews, share tutors list with Student Affairs, informg students of assigned tutors and collect tutors’ time sheets.
• Works closely with the Academic Counselor and the Foundation Program in disseminating the information regarding the program’s application process, coordinating information sessions, insurance, travel, sponsors letters and other related details.
• Provides support to special projects tailored for the Foundation and Pre-medical students such as workshops, presentations and seminars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in related field

Experience
• 3 or more years’ experience in a similar administrative role
• Advanced proficiency in MS Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Previously demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultures
• Evidence of and commitment to service-oriented practices
• Fluency in Arabic (Preferred)
• 5 or more years’ experience working specifically with higher education (Preferred)
• Prior experience in an international healthcare or academic environment (Preferred)
• Prior experience in the Arabian Gulf region (Preferred)
• Previous experience with SAP (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultures.
• Advanced level proficiency in MS Suite of products including Word, Excel and Power-point.
• Must be able to demonstrate assertiveness, and the ability to be proactive.
• Demonstrated advanced written and oral English communication, and presentation skills.
• Evidence of and commitment to service-oriented practices
