Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Survey Operations:
• Conduct hydrographic, geophysical, and geodetic surveys to support exploration, drilling, and construction.
• Utilize survey equipment such as GNSS systems, multibeam echo sounders, and total stations.

Data Collection and Analysis:
• Gather accurate geospatial data for site positioning, infrastructure placement, and project planning.
• Process and analyze survey data to create maps, charts, and reports for project stakeholders.

Project Support:
• Support subsea pipeline routing, platform installation, and rig positioning.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and project managers to meet technical and project objectives.

Equipment Maintenance:
• Calibrate and maintain survey equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in offshore conditions.

Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to offshore safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Ensure surveys comply with international standards, client specifications, and legal requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare detailed survey reports and presentations for internal and external use.
• Maintain records of surveys, including metadata, calibration logs, and quality assurance documentation.

Requirements:

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geophysics, or a related field.
• Certifications in offshore safety (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) and survey technologies are preferred.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in offshore surveying for oil and gas projects.
• Proven track record of working with modern surveying technologies and software.

Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in survey tools such as AutoCAD, GIS software, and hydrographic survey applications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
• Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions for extended periods.
• Good physical fitness and adaptability to varying work environments.
