Position Summary

The B.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics under the Department of Nutrition Sciences is seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for an academic position in nutrition at the level of Teaching Assistant, beginning January 2026. The candidate will be required to assist faculty members in the program, particularly in the courses, practical lab sessions, student work groups, undergraduate research and community service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory sessions and supervise student-working groups in the nutrition and food courses
• Support students in the learning process through tutorials and other supporting educational processes
• Assist instructors in following up and grading student assignments
• Assist instructors and students in securing academic resources and reference materials for courses
• Assist in the community service, marketing, and outreach activities of the department programs
• Contribute to various committees at the department, college, and university level
• Engage in professional development activities and training to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay updated about advancements in the field
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Qualification

• Master’s degree in nutrition or closely related field
• Teaching experience in nutrition and food science
• Practical experience is preferred
• Bilingual candidates are preferred (Arabic/English)
