Technical Manager - Dhiafatina Hotels - Doha - Qatar

Dhiafatina is a wholly- owned subsidiary of the Qatar Airways Group (QR Group) - which is the QR Group Hospitality subsidiary including hotels, spa management and other hospitality services.

The vision for Dhiafatina is to both own ( and in some cases, also operate) four- and five- star hotels in strategic locations that have been identified as key markets for Qatar Airways. Dhiafatina has also established its own Spa Management division, which will expand in conjunction with the hotel over the coming years

You will be able to provide a technical expertise, and develop new management tools on the following:
- Conduct a complete technical Due Diligence on potential buildings before acquisition & provide comprehensive reports on all MEP & building infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise and recommendation on the hospitality operator when requesting for change and repair based on site survey
- Audit Preventive Maintenance Plan for the hotels in the portfolio
- Audit Emergency contingency & crisis plan, fire and emergency procedures amongst all hotels portfolio
- Review proposed repairs, refurbishment & projects. Assess costs, options, and make recommendations
- Coordinate all repairs, maintenance & renovations with the company Project Managers
- Verify that all operators are complying with local environment government policies
- Conduct scheduled site visit and technical inspection
- Develop benchmark tool and reports
- Produce tailor made reporting

Requirements

- You have an engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years of job-related MEP & Civil Engineering experience
- At least two years of assignment as a senior Manager within a large hotel company
- Middle East Experience is desirable
- Ability to manage various projects within the hotel
- Able to communicate technical information to non - technical audiences
- Knowledge of technology domains in multiple disciplines including MS Suite
- Excellent English and Communication Skills
- Ability to travel occasionally
