On behalf of our client a leading US corporate multinational who are based in Dubai we are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the GM you will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports for management and local statutory purposes. Specific duties and responsibilities of the role include, ensure the timely closure and submission of monthly / quarterly / yearly reports according to reporting requirements prepare the financial data / reports required for submission to statutory bodies, ensure the compliance with company global finance policies, ensure the compliance with the relative local statutory/tax requirements, liaise with the external auditors and tax agents regarding the year-end audit and tax filings, work with the local management in the preparation of the budget and forecast, monitor the budget and forecast achievement and provide the necessary variance analysis payment process management and costs control, accounts receivable and customer credit management maintain/implement necessary internal control systems; provide the financial analysis and advice for the deal proposals provide support to local management on finance matters, negotiate with the vendors or other third parties on deal terms, provide management, motivation and training to finance division staff currently consisting of 1 member.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical System Support Engineer is responsible to review, evaluate, design, implement, manage, and maintain assigned complex database. Works with end users to assure assigned database systems continue to meet end user needs and perform to optimum capacity. Performs standard maintenance as well as more sophisticated programming and database support. Troubleshoots all database questions, issues and problems and independently resolves all issues. Supports end users in using more complex database systems and provides individual training as necessary. Executes complex changes modifications and plans.

• Serves in a lead capacity, providing Service Desk advanced technical support to end users remotely, in response to escalation from customer calls & emails. Promptly identifies, prioritizes and determines how to resolve reported issues, questions and problems with hardware and software. Handles a full range of troubleshooting activities to resolve identified questions, issues and problems with individual and group hardware and software, with special emphasis on complex problems that may require a high degree of initiative to identify and resolve. Provides technical oversight to lower-level IT Support Technicians in the Service Desk work group and level II support by prioritizing and monitoring the work assignments and providing technical guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will also have excellent attention to detail.
• Ensures the availability of the system at all times and works with the operational teams to develop and enhance the software whenever possible and oversees the full integration process.
• The Technical System Engineer shall provide ongoing software coaching and user support for operational teams, providing the essential incident management tools.
• Regularly reviews system performance and generates statistics and reports as necessary.
• Performs troubleshooting, configuration, database administration, and repair for server, network, infrastructure, data center, email, file shares, and other infrastructure components. Besides always having the ability to deploy solutions to new problems, a System Support Engineer generally has a high level of expertise in the company and is the go-to person for solving difficult issues.
• Remotely troubleshoots software and hardware questions, issues, problems and failures, focusing on more complex or challenging issues, questions and problems. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up actions.
• Identifies root cause for reported issues and implements measures to preclude recurrence.
• Assists with network testing assignments designed to maximize operating capacity. Coordinate network repairs & communicate with clients concerning scheduled maintenance and availability of the network.
• Will work on a variety of software solutions in order to meet the business requirements set forth by customer expectations. The candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act independently or among a diverse team of cross-functional members and customers.
• Contribute to creating and updating a support knowledge base and issue tracker, you will have a passion for learning and knowledge share.
• Meet & Maintain service level resolution guidelines and provide status updates at all times.
• Answers end user questions and troubleshoots standard IT issues, questions, problems and failures with Software, peripherals or workstations, remotely via telephone or email.
• Recognizes, categorizes and isolates user questions, issues and problems.
• Maintains a good general knowledge of the MIS environment and the technologies associated with individual computers, workstations, software and associated hardware as well as the company standard workstation configurations.
• Follows policies, procedures and standards in responding to requests and providing end user support.
• Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications and manuals for software application. Provide oversight management of vendors and other technical support staff.
• Provide after business hours on-call network support.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position that may be appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field is required and 5-8 years experience. Knowledge of and experience in programming SQL. Non-Certified database specialists must have at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Exposure to server administration/management is a plus.
• Experience with software installation and configurations and previous programming experience would be desired skills for this position.
• Experience maintaining, supporting and implementing medium to large scale software applications.
• Prior Traffic Management or Advanced Traffic Management Software system preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally in both English and Arabic.
• Professional References (peers, direct and indirect managers) from previously occupied positions are required.
• Problem identification, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of infrastructure components and protocols and how they fit into enterprise architecture. This may include a combination of the following elements: network, TCP/IP protocols, infrastructure enabling protocols, video compression and transport protocols, and various network/application protocols.
• Proficiency in HTML/XHTML, XML, Java and CSS.
• Understanding of relational data modeling and experience with SQL.
• Understanding of core programming concepts, theories and patterns.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and Rhinoscript.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of global IT infrastructure.
• Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in basic professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person).
• Ability to write basic documents (may include email or memos). Typically communicates with a limited group of individuals (employees and some managers) throughout the organization and may occasionally communicate with those outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).
