Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

In this role as NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support in 24/7 role that monitors, tracks and escalate various issue related to HIA IT Infrastructure. You will carry out proactive monitoring of all aspects of Network Infrastructure, prompt escalation of application/ system problems including assisting in determining the root cause of problem. You will prepare management reports and perform daily/weekly operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Proactive Monitoring of HIA IT Infrastructure, escalate and support technical teams to to ensure overall system availability and performance

- Support the 24x7 IT operations and provide first level technical support for HIA IT Infrastructure by troubleshooting Incidents and perform system administration activities.

- Coordination with HIA IT Technical teams for efficient and effective monitoring of Infrastructure and prevent potential incidents.

- Generates technical reports on the status of network operations including the networks state, incidents numbers and resolution

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. You must have minimum 3-5 years job related experience in monitoring enterprise IT environment. You should have good knowledge of Network Administration and System administration activities.

You must hold CCNA certification and with an in depth knowledge of HP Open View monitoring tools. You should have excellent documentation skills and good communication skills. You must handle multiple tasks and work successfully as part of a team, while being under pressure. You must work varied hours / days based on business needs with process oriented approach to address issues in hand. You must be flexible to work in shifts.
