Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, provides administrative support to the Director of Admissions and the Office of Admissions.

POSITION ACTIVITIES:
• Provides reception and administrative support to the Office of Admissions
• Receives a high volume of documentation in person and by mail
• Screens, logs and prioritizes incoming application supporting documentation
• Maintains and creates both physical and electronic secure filing systems; while preserving strict confidentiality
• Utilizes advanced computer skills in support of efficiency and accuracy of document administration
• Meets tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Relevant office administrative experience
• Excellent verbal/written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Accurate records maintenance skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Professional demeanour.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE
• Bachelor’s degree or more, two years prior business/office experience.
• Prior experience in an international, healthcare or academic environment.
• Fluency in Arabic.
• Prior experience in a multi-cultural working environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Work is completed in office environment.
• Approximately 80% is computer based, 20% desk/office based.
• The job may require extended and varying work hours to meet demands
