Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Working for a European company on one of the largest infrastructure and building projects in Qatar.
The Testing & Commissioning Manager is to work with the Project Management team to manage the T&C activities of the contractor. The T&C Manager shall provide commissioning expertise for overseeing T&C Planning and T&C activities of the contractor including all activities leading to project handover and stakeholder acceptance.

His/her responsibilities include:
• Manage and coordinate with the stakeholders all T&C activities of the contractor for the Data centre facilities, substation, telecommunications systems, port infrastructure systems and port operating systems
• Review and comment on contractors T&C and handover document submittals
• Monitor contractors T&C and handover progress and ensure the works are designed and implemented according to the technical specifications and applicable codes.
• Manage the contractor to perform in accordance with the requirements of the contract
• Technically supporting the Technical Manager for all project related activities

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering, preferably in the electrical or telecommunications field
• Proven working experience – 10 years in the GCC minimum for large-scale projects
• Experience in the design, implementation, T&C and handover of large-scale projects with minimum of 3 years’ experience as a T&C Manager
• Intimate knowledge of large-scale project delivery throughout the project lifecycle
• Good analytical skills
• Safety awareness and knowledge of large infrastructure project safety requirements

The following would experience and qualifications would be preferred:

• Extensive technical knowledge and practical experience of testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning large scale systems such as networks, Data Centers and security systems
• PMP or commissioning certifications or Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant field would be ideal but not essential
• Bilingual Arabic/English speaking is preferred but not essential
