Testing and Commissioning Specialist - Rail

Client
Linum Consult’s client operates out of the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Testing & Commissioning Specialist with strong rail experience to join their team in Qatar.

Responsibilities
• Supervising and controlling the Testing & Commissioning activities being carried out by the Manufacture, Supply and Install (MSI) Contractor
• Reporting to the company’s System Interface Director
• Liaising with the T&C Managers from other involved parties (PMC, MSI Contractor, subsystem leads, etc.) to coordinate the testing and commissioning processes across the project
• Reviewing the T&C documentation submitted by the MSI Contractor
• Ensuring all safety-related tests have been undertaken and that validation is completed in Complypro
• Tracking all documentation required to achieve the issuance of Commissioning Handover Certificates
• Coordinating with the MSI during trial runs and with the service provider during trial operations
• Monitoring the T&C punch list items

Requirements

Profile
• A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering
• At least 10 years’ experience within the railway industry working for large consultancies or end clients, with at least 3 years’ experience in testing and commissioning
• Strong technical knowledge of system integration and railway systems: signalling, rolling stock, civil works, track works, power supply, etc.
• Experience in technical coordination
