Job description / Role
The POS T&C Engineer works under the supervision of the Lead T&C engineer, and is in charge of performing testing & commissioning activities in conformity with the test plan, test procedures and schedule.
Technical Skills & Competencies
• Perfect knowledge of the traction production/distribution system for Tramway and auxiliary energy distribution system, in terms of installation, testing and electrical protections setting.
• Hands on experience in testing of electromechanical, static, digital relays and numerical relays Including ABB, Siemens, GE, Micom using Freja, Omicron and Sverker test equipment etc.
• Programming ABB relays, Micom Relays and SEL relays using manufactured designated software’s as well as implement protective schemes.
• Skilled in Automation Control System (Schneider PLC, HMI) and configuration of main protection relays.
• Calculations of CT adequacy and relay settings according to system parameters of O/C & E/F, distance, differential (REF, LV connections, HV connections differential, rough balance) relays.
• Testing and Commissioning of Diesel Generators, Power Transformers, MV Switchgears, Tractions Substations, Distribution Network Cable Feeders, LV Distribution boards.
• Fault level calculation and protection setting coordination.
• Retro-Fit of Protection schemes as and when required.
• CTs primary injection and CTs VTs secondary injection testing.
• Stability & Sensitivity Test of 33kV Switchgears,
• Competently interpret: Schematic drawings, logic diagrams, GA drawings, setting calculations, sensitivity studies, CTs Sizing Calculations.
• The T&C engineer must be able to work in safe manner, following strictly the EHS rules, and must hold electrical habilitation.
• The T&C engineer must be capable of work independently manage and supervise subcontractors testing & commissioning activities with consultants / client at site. Flexible and can always work under extreme pressure.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Desired Knowledge / Experience
• Minimum 5 years, as Testing and commissioning Engineer in the field of HV Stations commissioning, Traction substations/systems.
• Validated experiences in electrical power system for Tramway/Metro projects, Testing Management experience is a plus.
