Traffic Management/Road Safety Audit Engineer - Doha, Qatar
The Traffic Management / Road Safety Audit Engineer reports to the Resident Engineer Roads and is responsible for:
- Preparing, reviewing and approving traffic management plans and traffic diversions during construction.
- Carrying out regular road safety audits for the temporary traffic diversions.
- Ensuring all temporary traffic diversions are maintained in a safe clean condition for the road users.
- Monitor all temporary road networks on the construction site to ensure safe use. Including intersections, speed limits, visibility, signage, etc.
- Liaison with stakeholders and the police as and when necessary.
- Coordinate with the public relations officer with regard to complaints from the public in general and assisting in any responses.
- Ensuring any changes initiated by the designer/client are coordinated logged and issued to the contractor.
- Ensure that any interfaces both within the project and with adjacent projects are properly coordinated and documented.
- Liaise with the Resident Engineers and site team to ensure they are aware of potential changes and the potential impact this may have
- Coordinate with health and safety manager/engineer for any design issues relating to safety of construction or operation
- Drafting reports and any other necessary inputs to other site reporting such as weekly and monthly progress reports
- Attending and managing all traffic management coordination meetings with designers, contractors, clients and other stakeholders
- Ensuring all traffic management drawing schedules are maintained and kept up to date
- Liaison with Ashghal on traffic safety issues, road safety audits.
- Promoting and identifying design and traffic Safety issues within the construction phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Road safety audit training certifications from internationally recognized institutions
- 7 years experience in road safety audits and work zone traffic management.
- Demonstrated experience on construction sites and in the field, especially in road safety at work zones.
- Middle East experience a plus.
