Job description

The waiter/waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This includes taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
• Ensure correct grooming standards are followed at all times.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, following the restaurant's service standards.
• Check on guest satisfaction during their meal and respond promptly to any requests or complaints.
• Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Process guest bills accurately and handle payments courteously.
• Use opening and closing checklist to ensure smooth opening and closing of the venue.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar customer service role preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Team player with a customer-focused mindset.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
