Job description / Role
Objectives: Ensure all products in and out of the Warehouse are handled and store in designated locations, safely and in an efficient manner. Responsible for picking of items for delivery as well as replenishment for shop floor.
Main Responsibilities:
• Report any damages or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately and action any rectification procedures as identified
• Is vigilant and checks thoroughly for product damage
• All products are assembled properly and without any damage
• Orders for Customer Delivery and Assembly and Store Replenishment are picked correctly and placed in the correct designated area for dispatch
• Pick customer collection items quickly and efficiently when requested by the Warehouse Stock Coordinators
• Know the fabrics, textiles, woods and materials of furniture sold in the Store. Maintain an up to date knowledge of products, especially with regards to handling and care of the products, in addition to any special Features and Benefits (F.A.B’s)
• All receipts and dispatches of stock are completed in a timely manner
• Orders for Customer Delivery and Assembly and Store Replenishment are picked correctly and placed in the correct designated area for dispatch
• All picked items are packaged to a high standard in order to avoid damage in transit
• Pick customer collection items quickly and efficiently when requested by the Warehouse Stock Coordinators
• Loading and unloading duties followed when required utilizing safe working practices and by ensuring safety of products at all times
• Store all products in designated locations, safely and in an efficient manner
• Store products into the correct locations as directed by Warehouse Supervisor
• Inform Warehouse Stock Coordinator on bin to bin transfers when products are relocated within the warehouse
• Provides support and assistance to other Team members

Requirements
Nature and length of previous experience:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in warehousing
• Physically capable of lifting stock
• Ability to operate furniture assembly tools and equipment
University Qualifications: High School Diploma
