Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Runs an efficient and profitable service department through customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records; Plan, coordinate and make recommendation to improve workshop department and staff performance; Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them; Trains, motivates, counsels, and monitor the performance of all service department staff; Assists with annual operating budget for the service department according to NBK standards and submit it for management approval; Maintains reporting systems required by serviced manager; Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys; Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments; Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to assure implementation of Quality Management System, Environment Management System, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know and state, and local regulations that affect service operations; Understands and ensures compliance with warranty and policy procedures; Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly; Facilitates and/or conducts technical training as required with an approval from management; Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the Parts Manager to ensure availability; Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business; Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order, as needed; Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality; Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases; Ensures that the passenger vehicles workshop areas are kept clean; Establishes and maintains good working relationships with technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities; Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labour operations; Handles customer complaints immediately and according to guidelines.

Requirements

- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience related experience with Mercedes - Benz experience.
- Knowledge in technical aspects; Time management; MS office
- Mercedes – Benz Warranty standards and procedures
- Auto line software knowledge is an added value
