Employment: Full Time

Project Engineer - Rwanda - £80,000-£100,000

The company

Our client is a small but very successful Design and Build company.
They have recently taken on a very large hotel project in the capital of Rwanda, Kigali and one smaller conference hotel near Lake Kivu. They currently seek an experienced project engineer to join these two projects and oversee the entire construction phase through to completion.

The Role

As Project Engineer you will be expected to assist the client in the management of technical and financial aspects of the two projects.

Assist the client in choosing the general contractor for the lake Kiyu project.

Draft consultancy agreements, contracts with main contractor & subcontractors using standard forms of contract i.e. Fidic.

Monitor the construction works of projects from start to completion.

Monitor the projects progress using the reports from the supervising consultant and attending regular site meetings.

Be in constant liaison with both the client and contractor.

Requirements

Required Skills

Previous experience of heading up large building projects preferably hotels.
Knowledge of AutoCAD & Planning Software (MS Project or Primavera) is desirable.
Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
15 years experience.

Education / Qualification:

University graduate with a Degree in Civil Engineering.
