Job description / Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our growing team in Rwanda. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth and profitability while overseeing commercial operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a passion for building long-lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Manage and optimize the performance of the commercial team to achieve revenue targets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to drive business growth.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals and contracts to clients.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform strategic planning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of services and products.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews and prepare reports for senior management.

Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
• Manage local sales & focusing on on-trade channels (hotels & embassy)
• Develop and nurture key large accounts, fostering strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
• Overseeing sales activities and ensuring timely payments.
• Create and manage journey plans of the team.
• Oversight and use of the SFA with the team.
• Review reports and dashboards to build insights and inform decision making.
• Drive the volume and value ambition set out for country.
Market Strategy and Revenue Enhancement:
• Improve market visibility and increase market share through strategic initiatives.
• Investigate factors affecting sales performance and recommend strategies to maximize revenue.
• Take responsibility for receivables management to ensure timely collections.
• Forecast sales & container inbound /outbound for better planning.
Brand Management:
• Implement brand awareness activities to enhance the company's market presence.
• Oversee petty cash management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
Operational Oversight:
• Supervise and assist sales staff in day-to-day operations.
• Ensure smooth Activation processes.
• Update stock biweekly / monthly (fast moving / slow moving / bond expiry)
• Liase ex bonding / duty free clearance
• Daily sales order report which should include delivery & payments (cash, cheque & security cheque) weekly & monthly.
• Client visits and order tracker weekly &monthly.
• Stock availability bonded / shop availability and requirements.
• Export / local orders updates.
• Weekly petty cash statement & receivable forecast.
• Staff issues / updates.
Overall Operations:
• Maintain a holistic view of Sales operations, working towards seamless and efficient processes.
• Investigate, identify, and address any challenges to ensure optimal operation.
• Contract renewal / trade licenses.
• RRA Liase for vat refund & All compliance
