The facility includes the largest dedicated Children's Hospital in the Middle East which opened in June 2015. A state-of-the art developments such as Cardiac and Liver Center; Emergency Care and Trauma Center continues to be the best Trauma Care Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is ranked as the 4th Emergency Care Center outside the United States of America, to provide (PHTLS) Pre-Hospital Trauma and Life Support program. Dental, Ambulatory (Outpatient) Care, Long Term Care/ Rehabilitation, Other adult and pediatric services provided include: Surgical and Medical wards, Oncology. Obstetrics and Gynecology (Labor and Delivery, Oncology, Antenatal and Post Partum wards); Oncology, Neonatal ICU, Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Care Center, Home Health Care Program, VIP Wards, Royal Suite, College of Medicine and Nursing College.
Job Title : Assistant Nurse Manager
Responsible to: Nurse Manager
Basic Function :
Within the mission, vision and values of the hospital and the Division of Nursing Services, assists with overall unit management and the delivery of quality nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes, acts as the unit charge nurse, provides total patient care as required and assumes managerial role in absence of Nurse Manager. Rotates day & night shifts as indicated to meet patient care requirements.
Principle Duties :
Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Demonstrates knowledge and clinical assessment skills.
Documents nursing interations in the patients clinical record.
Supervises care provided by maintaining high visibility (90% clinical presence) to patients/families and other healthcare workers.
Completes dissidence responsibilities within established hospital, divisional and unit specific guidelines, policies and procedures, standards, protocols, etc.
Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other health care team members and staff of other departments.
Staff management to include recruitment, education, training, evaluation and development, as well as preparation and delegation of work schedules and workload.
Provides managerial support as required.
Provides leadership and a resource role in the provision of patient care and unit activities.
Assists staff in development of problem solving and decision making skills.
Maintains records pertaining to the operation of the area of assignment and generates reports as required.
Education & Research:
Participates in unit orientation for new employees.
Assists and supports staff in the development of their roles on the unit.
Uses research/ current literature in the supervision of evidence-based care.
Assumes responsibility for own professional growth.
Participates in teaching and meutormg of Nursing, Medical and Paramedical Students. Interns and Residents.
Complies with Hospital Infection Control and Safety Protocols,
Develops, implements and participates in Quality Improvement Processes activities.
Participates actively in the quality improvement program of the aria(s).
Anticipates and acts to maintain a safe environment.
Works with members of the health care team in activities designed to improve patient care outcomes.
Monitors effectiveness of standards of patient care and nursing policies; and procedures, appropriately refers deviations.
Serves as a professional role model and teacher.
Develops and utilizes professional collegiate networking.
Demonstrates respect, compassion and cultural sensitivity to patients/families other hospital employees,students and faculty.
Advocates for excellence in patient care and patient rights.
Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other health care team members.
Assumes responsibility for own actions,decisions and behaviors.
Demonstrates initiative in the performance of duties requiring a minimum amount of supervision or guidance.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse with a current Nursing license - E
Diploma in Nursing (Western Standard) - E
Three (3) years current clinical experience in specific area with demonstraed leadership abilitied-E
Specific Certification as required in area of assignment-E
English Language skills Level I-E
Computer skills: Proficient-E
