Accountant / Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist – Arabic Speaker

Job description / Role

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/AR Specialist fluent in Arabic for our client in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable processes, ensure accurate financial records, and support the finance department in maintaining efficient and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.
• Prepare and maintain AR reports, aged receivables, and cash forecasts.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger with the general ledger on a regular basis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
• Support the finance team in audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting as required.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AR operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or accounting roles within Construction, Facilities Management, Contracting or Service Industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Arabic (mandatory) and English (business level).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the Saudi market or working with regional clients.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
