Description

We are looking for an experienced accounting manager to join a leading gas distribution company in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is essential to ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency across the business.

Main responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements
• Analyzing risk and putting the required controls in place to maintain accurate accounts
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements
• Lead the coordinating and completion of the annual audits
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Hire, manage, and mentor junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Saudi accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting systems like Odoo or a similar ERP system
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Effective communication skills in both English and Arabic
• Managed an accounting function in a regional company in KSA
• Experience with hiring and managing a team from scratch
