Job description / Role
- Work as a team member and lead the team in all areas of the function. Ensure that the Work / tasks submitted (to the management) are of desired quality without any discrepancies by the team. Effectively managing the agreed annual leave plan.
- Oversight the review of all high-risk accounts assigned to the team for potential money laundering risks or concerns and provide accurate feedback / approval to the concerned branch / business unit within the agreed TAT.
- Managing the review of new account opening applications for PEP in line with Group PEP Policy and the KSA Central Bank Guidelines by the team. Maintain a PEP register.
- Liaising with the relevant business units and other stake holders for completing the annual review of PEP relationships.
- Ensuring that the Review and feedback to all RMA and Correspondent Banks Account Opening requests received from the business is provided by the team within the agreed TAT.
- Provide advice/guidance to the team on the WorldCheck & Watchlist referrals as appropriate.
- Collate information from the AML Team members and provide an accurate MI to the Head of Compliance / Senior Management.
- Ensure all requests from Head of Compliance are met within the prescribed deadlines.
Requirements
- Understanding of AML regulations, internal policies and procedures.
- Understanding of KSA Central Bank regulations related to AML and Compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of account opening documents and company formation documents.
- Prior experience of a minimum of 4 years in an AML/ Compliance role or a Risk function in a bank or other financial services/ regulatory body
- The incumbent should have a Bachelor degree, ACAMS is not a must but highly preferable, professional certifications in AML, Compliance or Risk
