Employment: Full Time

Client is an international manufacturer of products and services to the water treatment industry are currently looking for an 'Applications Engineer' to join their Riyadh office, specializing in the pumps division of the organisation.

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing system engineering and advanced application support within the region. The role also has a responsibility to develop the distributor markets and ME employee’s technical competence.

Specifically, the Application Engineer will:
• Provide advanced system engineering design support in conjunction with larger and/or complex transport projects, i.e. pump station and network design.
• Provide on-site trouble-shooting of transport related system engineering & application installations.
• Be responsible for software tools development & maintenance.


Functions included in the Application Engineering role:

Primary:
• Develop the business through a pro-active approach to the market by offering systems engineering to clients, consultants and distributors.
• On-site trouble-shooting of transport related system engineering & application installations.
• Provide advanced system engineering design support in conjunction with larger and/or complex projects.
• Assist in preparation of technical material for internal and/or external training sessions in order to maintain competence levels.
• Act in the capacity as mentor/coach for the sales support team for product related enquiries.

Secondary:
• Coordinate with the Systems & Application HQ team in order to continually develop the systems engineering competence within the region.
• Support Market Development Manager with the development of engineering marketing material, i.e. case stories, white-papers etc.
• Maintain and develop relationships with colleagues across the organization to share market knowledge and business opportunities.
• Possess deep application knowledge of one or more specialist areas.
• Learn/Possess broad knowledge of the organisation Transport product portfolio, including accessories.
• Comply with organisation ethics and trade policies and directives.

Salary 15-18,000 SAR (negotiable) + benefits

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the wastewater industry in Saudi Arabia selling pumps
• Fluent Arabic / English speaker
