Job description / Role
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical seal industry preferably in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation and Water applications
• Experience and good understanding of pumping applications.
• Good knowledge of the API 610 , API 617, API 682 standards – pumps, compressors, mechanical seals – Mechanical & Dry Gas Seal design standards.
• Technical report writing especially with regards to mechanical seal reconditioning, initial inspection reports ,failure analysis reports & conclusions, recommendations for upgrades
• Experienced in mechanical seal troubleshooting and Root cause analysis report writing.
• Able to engineer customer orders.
• Ability to undertake costing of complete assemblies.
• Able to communicate well with the sales staff , customers and suppliers.
• Experienced in technical drawing, reverse engineering – Autocad or Autodesk 3D Inventor or similar design software.
• Assist sales team and clients in selection of appropriate mechanical seal and seal support system for the service application
Requirements
• Mechanical Engineering Diploma or BSc Eng. or Completed a trade in one of the following Technical disciplines: * Tool & Die making ,*Millright , *Fitter and Turner
• Experienced in the operational aspects of Mechanical seals design,engineering,manufacturing,servicing,repairs and technical reporting of mechanical seals,rotating equipment and other seal support systems
• Experienced in API Piping Plans
• Proficient in AutoCAD , Autodesk 3D Inventor or similar design software
