Area Manager Critical Facilities Management

Job description / Role

The Area Company Manager is responsible for the oversight of operational infrastructure across multiple critical data centers and telecom facilities, including electrical distribution, mechanical equipment, life safety equipment, preventative maintenance planning, and the vendors providing day-to-day support.

Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership guidance to client teams for multiple (10-12) facilities in a region
• Oversee operation of critical electrical (including both DC and AC plant), mechanical, and life-safety equipment (including professional knowledge and hands-on experience with generators, switch gear, UPS systems, cooling plant, and telecommunications equipment)
• Coordinate and oversee facilities management provider(s)
• Identify vendor requirements, spearhead vendor selection process, and oversee vendor contracts and manage all vendor relationships, including scope, and adherence to SLAs and KPIs
• Develop and implement operations best practices in conjunction with peer Area Managers to ensure consistency across the portfolio
• All other duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by Company management
• Develop and implement standard and emergency operating procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, advanced degrees preferred
• 10+ years management experience in mission critical data center or telecommunications environment(s)
• Prior experience living and working in a GCC country, preferred
• Fluency in English, required
• Fluency in Arabic, preferred
• Travel for this position is estimated at up to 50% (primarily within a specific region of the country)
