Employment: Full Time

Responsible to: Division Head of Cardiac Critical Care and Chairman, Department of Cardiac Sciences

Basic Functions:
• He/she participates in the clinical work at assistant consultant level taking the final responsibility of patient care advising on and resolving clinical and relevant administrative issues under the supervision of a Consultant.
• His/her medical privileges are determined by the Department Chairman, in consultation with the Division Head and recommended to the Executive Director of Medical Services.

Principal Duties :
• Provide patient care at assistant consultant level under supervision in the Cardiac Intensive Care Units, Cardiac Operating Rooms, and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory as required and according to their certification.
• Participate in the on call duties
• Take active part in the teaching, training, research and quality management activities of relevant disciplines of Cardiac Sciences at a level appropriate for the position
• Adhere to the departmental and hospital policies and procedures and comply with high standards of patient care

Requirements

Assistant Consultant:
US Board/ FRCS- Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/Arab Board/ Saudi Board/ Diplome d' Etudes Specialises (DES) / CIS French Board/ Farcharzt with minimum 0-1 year experience post Board/ Fellowship
