Job description / Role
- Assist Director / Supervisor in his responsibility for total care of high standard, and in the management of the DEM.
- Plans, Implements and evaluates individualized patient care based on physiological , social and available resources.
- To exercise the highest possible standard of patient care according to his clinical privileges and available resources.
- To participate in the training and teaching program of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the Department
- Uses Clinical Skills and methods appropriate to Emergency care to analyze the patient's complaints and establish a plan of action in his / her best interest
- Initiates investigations which will confirm, establish or rule out diagnosis, or be benefit to the patient
- Refers Patients for appropriate specialist opinion or treat as deemed necessary for the patient
- Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patients / families in an effort to promote compliance and shared participation in a caring environment
- Carries out other clinical duties as assigned by the director / supervisor of DEM and in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges
- Participates in and / or actively supports approved research projects.
Requirements
Qualifications / Skills Expectations for Ideal Candidates
- Graduate from a recognized medical school
- Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Internal Medicine
- Specialized professional post higher qualification experience in Internal Medicine for a minimum of 4 years
- Experience in Emergency Medicine ( Desirable)
- Experience in teaching and training of resident at a recognized center/ university (Desirable)
- Self-Motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, Ability to speak Arabic and English
