Assistant Design Manager (Saudi National)

Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an Assistant Design Manager (Saudi National) to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA.

The Assistant Design Manager will support the Design Managers in overseeing the full architecture design process for various asset types related to THE LINE project. You will play a key role in managing the architecture design for multiple assets across THE LINE, leading specific project elements with minimal direction from a Senior Architect or team member.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure design quality and coordinate across multiple design streams.
- Manage compliance with the masterplan, vision, and engineering integration.
- Oversee Safety in Design and collaborate with delivery teams for design integration.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist Design Managers in developing NEOM’s architectural design style.
- Lead creative and aesthetic approaches to design management.
- Deliver architectural designs for diverse asset types, including residential, commercial, public, healthcare, and educational buildings.
- Prepare, develop, and edit architectural drawings and presentations.
- Conduct qualitative design reviews, providing comments and recommendations.
- Draft architectural sets from concept to detailed design stages.
- Develop and review architectural asset briefs.
- Prepare Scope of Work (SoW), specifications, reports, and data tables.
- Take initiative to create design manuals and standard design documents.
- Provide technical detailing and construction administration.
- Research and implement new technologies and trends.
- Produce deliverables aligned with NEOM standards and policies.

Knowledge Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of scope definition and interfaces.
- Knowledge of international standards, policies, codes, and procedures.
- Familiarity with Statutory Authority requirements and sustainable design principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of zoning/building codes, products, materials, and construction methods.

- Excellent conceptual and design skills, with a focus on innovation.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Grasshopper, and V-Ray.
- Ability to manage projects with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- A team player with a flexible approach to work and collaboration.

- 10+ years of experience in architectural design and management.
- Design experience across various architectural types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.
- Experience in design management for large infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch or B.Sc.) from a recognized university.
- International Accreditations preferred (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent).
- Sustainability Certification preferred (LEED, PQP, or equivalent).

Salary:
SAR 30,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
