Associate Director - Public Realm

Job description / Role

Job Purpose:

To manage the construction team and contractors and monitor the development process to ensure that the works are executed by the contractor as agreed in terms of quality, standards and materials as well as ensure budget and deliverable dates are met as per company's business objectives and requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Contribution
- Assist with the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Construction function to deliver Red Sea Global vision and mission.
- Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Construction function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.

Leadership
- Coordinate the activities of the Construction team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.

Role:
- Associate Director (Public Realm) will oversee end-to-end landscape operations of facilities and public realm (including and not limited to road median and sides, walkways, pedestrian networks, common areas and parks) and ensure that the landscape is maintained at very high standards.

Requirements

Skills and Qualification:

- 18+ years extensive experience in and understanding of the design & Delivery of major public Realm projects, at least 7 of which as senior lead in Public Realm.
- Understanding of the diverse needs with respect to public realm and landscaping services.
- Extensive experience of working in the Public Realm sector at a senior level .ME experience will be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of best practice in the delivery of Public Realm and Sustainable Landscaping services. The Public Realm Senior Manager is responsible for meeting the project goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape/Architecture from an accredited university – Masters' degree preferred with postgraduate qualification in Urban Design optional.
