Responsibilities

• Assist in the selection and management of materials required for various engineering projects.
• Work with the engineering team to develop material specifications that align with project requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and establish relationships for effective material procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels and assess material usage to minimize waste and optimize costs.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to material acquisition, including purchase orders and inventory records.
• Participate in project meetings and provide insights regarding material availability and procurement challenges.
• Support the implementation of material management strategies to enhance project efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or a related field.
• Understanding of material procurement processes and inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Prior experience in the oil and energy industry is preferred but not mandatory.
