Technical responsibilities
Technical responsibilities will vary depending on the project but will involve:
- Leading water/wastewater engineering deliverables;
- Managing junior inputs to deliverables;
- Water and wastewater treatment design along with developing basis of design, mass balance, PFDs, P&IDs, outline control philosophy and specifications for water and wastewater treatment plants;
- Presenting, analyzing and interpreting water quality data to assess and evaluate hydro-chemical characteristics of different water streams and advise on scale potential and treatment solutions;
- Ability to write optioneering, feasibility and engineering deliverables;
- Ability to work constructively within large engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes;
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to think logically and clearly;
- IT skills - MS Office suite, chemical modeling applications (such as OLI, WAVE®, Aspen Hysys, BioWin, Sumo or any other software).
- Minimum engineering degree/masters in chemical engineering or environmental engineering.
- Chartered engineer status is advantageous.
