Base Engineer

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

- Capable of training multi specialized individuals and teams on Planned Maintenance tasks
- Overseeing condition and cleanliness of communal areas under company management
- Defect management including use of CPMS from defect raising to closure and investigations IAW company procedures
- Liaison with BG PoC regarding defect discussions
- Oversight of Foremen and Technicians operational & maintenance duties concerning quality, deadlines and implementation of corrective actions in multiple specializations
- Management of spare-parts for defect rectification and Receipt of Materials
- Support Base Supervisor in claim & guarantee management, analysis of defects and estimation of repair costs
- Support Base Management
- Implementation and improvement of applicable regulations (i.e. workshop, safety, environment etc.)

- A tertiary qualification in a Marine Engineering specialization
- Certification recognized by SCE for the role specialization
- Completed courses IAW training needs matrix for O&S
- Experience of not less than four (4) years in a similar cross specialization role
- Experience in Small team leadership and management
- Interpersonal and leadership skills
- Presentation & moderation skills, ability to act alone in making decisions
- Willingness to travel in support of technical teams
- Fluency in English, technical & commercial
- Local knowledge advantageous
- Full KSA Driving license is essential
