BIM Specialist

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM Specialist to join our team and take on a key role in site supervision, providing support and guidance to project teams in the use of BIM throughout the construction and handover process. The BIM Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of project teams with the project’s BIM requirements, integration of BIM into site operations, coordination of model data with design and construction teams, and the supervision and reporting of BIM-related tasks and processes on-site to the Employer/PMC.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Act as the on-site BIM expert, providing technical support and guidance to project teams.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure the integration of BIM into site operations.
• Ensure that project models are up-to-date and reflect the latest design and construction information.
• Supervise BIM-related tasks and processes on-site, including model updates and quality control checks.
• Participate in site meetings and provide regular progress reports to the employer, including updates on BIM-related tasks and issues. Facilitate model reviews and coordinate the resolution of model-related issues with the respective project teams.

• Review project models, ensuring compliance with project BIM Requirements, such as geometrical and non-geometrical (data) requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging BIM technologies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other related tools.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and workflows, as well as experience with data management and quality control.
• Strong understanding of commonly used international BIM Standards (PAS1192, ISO19650, etc.)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and provide clear and concise progress reports to the employer.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to oversee and manage design and construction BIM teams.
• Ability to work on-site and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work well within a team of other professionals
• Analytical, deadline-oriented, and self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with adequate English to ensure correct spelling and grammar on all documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM, with a focus on site-based work.
• Site BIM Supervision prior experience (plus factor)
• BIM Management certifications (plus factor)
