Job description / Role
Equipment Setup:
• Set up and prepare torquing equipment, including torque wrenches, hydraulic torquing tools, or other specialized tools required for the job.
Reading Specifications:
• Follow work instructions to determine the correct torque values and sequence for each bolted connection.
Torque Application:
• Use torque wrenches or other torquing tools to apply the specified amount of torque to bolts. This may involve manually tightening bolts or using powered torquing equipment, depending on the job requirements.
Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that each bolt is torqued correctly by using calibrated equipment and performing quality checks.
• This involves verifying the torque values using torque measurement devices, such as torque testers.
Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of torque values, bolt sizes, and other relevant information. Document any issues or discrepancies encountered during the torquing process.
Requirements:
Troubleshooting:
• Identify and troubleshoot any problems related to torquing, such as stripped or damaged threads, defective fasteners, or equipment malfunctions. Report and address these issues appropriately.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, or supervisors to coordinate torquing activities, especially in large-scale projects where multiple teams may be involved.
Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and being aware of potential hazards.
Equipment Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on torquing tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest torquing techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
• Seek opportunities for professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
Driving:
• Experience driver Or having Ksa Driving license will be additional add-on to package.
• ECITB Certification
