Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Bus KPIs Expert will have responsibility to manage the Bus Contract KPIs from definition, monitoring, processing and evaluation on all aspects covered by all the KPIs defined by the Bus Operations Contract. The role is also responsible for tracking and analyzing deviations to the targeted performances and ensure that the Bus Operator proposes and implements successful corrective measures.

Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the KPIs definition and subsequent implementation phases with the Bus Operator.
- Obtain/download the KPIs' source data from the various systems and analyze/process the KPIs.
- Create tools to simplify the processing of raw data.
- Compare the KPIs with the reports submitted by the Bus Operator.
- Identify unacceptable variations in required performance and coordinate as well as expedite the Bus Operator to propose and implement successful corrective measures.
- Responsible for making recommendations for improvement to the KPI Regime and revised targets throughout the Commercial Operation phase based on best market practices, with safety and excellence at the heart of all these services.
- Perform review of documentation and systems created by the Bus Operator.
- Produce reports to be presented to the client on punctuality, kilometers, and all required KPI reports.
- Bus Operations expert will compare operational data from ITS systems and inspections status prior to preparing the reports for the client.
- Hire, train and supervise inspectors hired to provide field data, including business intelligence such as Mystery Passenger Surveys.
- Will support and report to the Senior Manager - Bus Services Delivery
- Coordinate with the other experts on the project.


Qualification and Education Requirements
- University Degree


Mandatory Experience
- 10 years' experience in bus operations either in:
- Operational experience in Bus operating company, and/or
- Client organization managing a Bus operator, and/or
- Consultant team managing Bus operator.
- Prior experience dealing with multiple Contractors and their performance against KPI regime
- Experience dealing with Operating procedures, instructions and code of conduct handbooks
- Experience dealing with timetables and materials related to successful and smooth operations of the transportation system
- Transportation and Safety Procedures
- Experience in supervising employees in office based and field tasks.
- Prior experience dealing with OEMs, manufacturers and independent consultants/accident investigative agencies will be a requisite.
