Job description / Role

Exciting opportunity for a Bus Transit Expert, my client is an international engineering consultancy that is seeking a Bus Transit Expert for a Bus and Infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the effective delivery of the procurement, operation and maintenance of the package.

Responsibilities

• Manage the teams who are supervising the Contractor to ensure that the Contractors comply the Employer’s Requirements
• Provide strategic direction and advice to client’s CEO and Project Director
• Undertake technical reviews of contractor’s proposals and issue approval as required by the Contracts
• Proactively manage and communicate with stakeholders by attending management meetings and making presentations and reports.
• Support the issuance of Commissioning Certificates, Contract Completion Certificates, Taking-Over Certificates and Performance Certificates.
• Support with the planning team to ensure progress and payments of works are in accordance with the Contract
• Support the commercial team by evaluating the impact of service changes and change request initiated by the Employer and Contractor
• Support commercial teams in claims assessment and quantification

Requirements

• BSc degree in engineering or other related subject
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience
• Experience in managing bus operations and maintenance contractors
• Strong communication skills
• Experience within the Middle East
• Familiar with ITS
• Ability to read and write Arabic
