Job description / Role
The Business Change Manager will play a crucial role in managing and delivering strategic change initiatives across the brokerage department. The individual will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvements, and leading the execution of transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and business growth. This role requires deep knowledge of brokerage operations, regulatory requirements, and strong project management skills to ensure that changes are implemented effectively and sustainably.
1. **Change Management Strategy**: Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to drive key projects within the brokerage department, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
2. **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with department leaders, traders, compliance officers, and other key stakeholders to understand business needs, set project goals, and secure buy-in for change initiatives.
3. **Process Improvement**: Analyze current processes and workflows within brokerage operations, including equity, fixed income, and institutional trading, to identify areas for improvement, automation, and cost reduction.
4. **Project Management**: Lead the planning, design, and execution of business change initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Use appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools to track progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
5. **Risk Management**: Assess potential risks associated with changes, including operational disruptions or compliance issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth implementation.
6. **Training and Development**: Oversee the development and delivery of training programs to ensure that staff members are fully equipped to adapt to new systems, processes, or regulatory requirements.
7. **Performance Monitoring**: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of change initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership and adjusting plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
8. **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure that all changes comply with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure any changes maintain full adherence to required guidelines.
9. **Cultural Alignment**: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the brokerage department, encouraging staff to embrace change, innovate, and enhance the client experience.
10. **Communication**: Ensure transparent and effective communication at all levels of the organization regarding the status of ongoing changes, the rationale behind decisions, and expected outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a change management or project management role within the financial services sector, particularly in brokerage operations.
- Deep understanding of brokerage activities, including equities, fixed income, and institutional trading.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting the brokerage industry (e.g. CMA, Tadawul , SEC, FINRA, MiFID II).
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage stakeholders across various levels.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana) and change management frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Change management certification (e.g., PROSCI, APMG).
- Experience in digital transformation or implementing technology solutions in brokerage environments.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and their application in optimizing brokerage operations.
