Business Development Manager

Job description / Role

A well-established multinational consumer goods business is looking for a business development manager to expand their business in the Middle East.

The role, based in Riyadh, is responsible to lead and motivate the distributor sales team, implement brand strategies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ensure sales/distribution/promotional targets are met.

The BDM will be responsible for:
- Heading the brands’ expansion in KSA, based out of Riyadh with extensive travel across the country
- Devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets
- Working closely with distributor’s sales and merchandising team and coaching them to ensure we get required focus for the company's brands
- Liaising with distributor’s management and leadership team ensuring sales targets are met/exceeded
- Analyzing current marketplace and feeding back important market and competitive information

Requirements

- Exceptional relationship building skills at all levels within the company and externally
- Must be able to demonstrate a track record of sales success
- Strong Account Management and/or Territory Sales experience with proven relationship building skills
- Experience of managing major National Accounts at head office level
- Experience in trade and consumer marketing strategy formulation and execution
- Proven history in managing and developing teams to successfully deliver against stretching growth targets
- Strong (6 +) sales management experience within KSA
