Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Manage the day to day activities involved the sales & marketing department
- Create effective communication channels within the sales & marketing department
- Qualify Tech Universal Arabia with new clients and other such work to complete the qualification process
- Introduce Tech Universal Arabia to new clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails
- Follow up existing, new and potential clients with respect to potential projects
- Maintain a list of proposed enquiries, declined enquiries, etc.
- Create, follow up, manage and maintain an effective business development strategy for Tech Universal Arabia
- Study Tech Universal Arabia’s position in the market with respect to competitors and present this in report format to the board of directors whenever requested
- Identify, develop and assist in establishing new business units for Tech Universal Arabia
- Develop key business relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Lobby with clients to win contracts for Tech Universal Arabia
- Develop, search and produce a steady income for Tech Universal Arabia
- Develop, maintain and update the list of active enquiries
- Receive, study and process all incoming enquiries and suggest whether or not to pursue the enquiry
- Respond to incoming enquiries in a timely manner
- Follow the proposal process to submit enquiries to clients
- Ensure that the prepared proposals meet the clients’ requirements
- Ensure that the proposal protects Tech Universal Arabia
- Follow up with clients, through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails about the status of proposals submitted
- Inform clients about Tech Universal Arabia’s intent to not bid when necessary
- Understand clients’ needs
- Negotiate with clients, potential clients to win projects for Tech Universal Arabia
- Achieve annual targets agreed to with the board
- Follow up on potential leads on new projects
- Develop, update and maintain a database of all clients’ contact information
- Maintain and update all qualifications with all clients’
- Gain a thorough understanding of clients’ marketing objectives including their Return On Investment objectives
- Interact with other Tech Universal Arabia employees when handing over projects that have been won, ensuring full and correct briefing
- Prepare weekly reports of the clients contacted and the potential leads, discussions and/or other relevant information
- Keep abreast of issues affecting the water treatment market
- Work extra hours when required in order to achieve the objectives of the department
- Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that are broadly consistent with those in this document

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Administration or equivalent
- Minimum Ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Other Qualifications: Experience in a senior sales position in a company acting in the water and wastewater industry
- Understanding of the different treatment processes provided by contractors in the water and wastewater industry

Skills:
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Fluency in English (reading, writing and speaking)
