ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Founded in 1972, SAP is the world's leading provider of enterprise applications, analytics, and mobility with over 170,000 customers around the world. SAP is currently seeking a Business Support Manager.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Project / Program Portfolio Management

- Internal Project and Program Management for large, complex projects and programs
- Special Projects addressed as required
- Accountability for timeline, quality and execution
- Reporting Vision/Architecture: Develop reporting standardization and drive Standardization & Optimization of Reporting Processes
- Understand Key Metrics & Requirements of the Business and be a competent Decision Partner
- Strongly cooperate with other departments and lead assigned project teams

Partner Management

- Provide pro-active and value added Services to our Customers to steer there Business most efficiently

- Share Best Practices, Drive Efficiency & Simplicity
- Support knowledge sharing initiatives (i.e. Focus Groups, FSP Moderators, Mentoring, Education, etc.)
- Liaison with Global Services, HR, Corp Finance, Corp Communications, etc.
- Provides thought leadership regarding consultant/ Management excellence initiatives
- Transformation & Change Management; Skills Transformation & Enablement (Certification, Value University)
- Productivity tools (Reporting / Analytics, Consulting Sandboxes, Business Apps Development, Knowledge Management)

Communication Planning

- Delivery Optimization
- Support ongoing operational excellence of our delivery organization including change management activities, providing meaningful metrics / analysis, and optimizing related processes

In the Resource Management area:

- Strong cooperation with other departments and executive stakeholder
- Coordination with Regional Process Owners (RM Heads)
- Manage the consolidation and prioritization of country development requests from all Regions
- Act as the contact for the handoff of Globally approved , prioritized country requirements to SAP
- Manage and maintain global processes, and ensure global alignment and consistency
- Ensure global process related activities by Regions
- Represent definition of external interfacing requirements from a global perspective; review design to ensure global alignment and consistency
- Responsible for execution of staffing including escalation resolution
- Enforces alignment with other areas
- Resources on Demand
- Staffing & Support Execution Including reports and analytics
- Manages resourcing for specified practice area (beyond mere execution of roles)
- Manages Critical Initiatives, Tasks and Program without heavy Guidance

Requirements

WORK EXPERIENCE:

- Functional Experience
- Experience as Business Support Specialist
- Ability to drive execution within area of responsibility and experience in aligning cross-topic objectives & approaches
- Experience in strategic thinking and conceptual design of highly complex projects & programs

Experience

- Experience in leading a team that you don't directly manage
- Experience in decision making within own area of responsibility / project
- Execution of appraisal sessions, conflict management, motivation of own team
- Experience in leading virtual teams cross-boarder

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Education
- Final degree (e.g. business administration, psychology, economics, computer sciences) or equivalent work experience

English: Fluent

Professional Training & Certification

- Training in Acting as a Manager (e.g. leading a team, cascading strategy, people development, internal processes & tools) (recommended)
