Business Unit Head

Job description / Role

A leading pharmaceutical company is actively recruiting a business unit head for their Riyadh office.

The main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's global objectives.
• Own and drive full P&L responsibility for the KSA business.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams to support regulatory, commercial, and medical affairs in the region.
• Develop and execute competitive pricing strategies in compliance with local regulations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team across sales, marketing, regulatory, and medical functions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

To be successful you will need to meet the following:

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or similar.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership experience within the pharmaceutical company, of which a minimum of 3 years of experience in a business unit head or equivalent role.
• Must have anti-infective, antibiotic, or respiratory experience.
• New chemical entity or new module launch experience is a must.
• Experience in a multinational pharmaceutical environment.
• Proven track record in P&L ownership and delivering commercial results.
• Strong understanding of pricing, reimbursement, and market access dynamics within the GCC region.
