Hospital
• New high-quality 330-bed Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH). The LTCH is scheduled to open in December 2019
• Rehabilitation Patients who are medically stable enough to benefit from intensive rehabilitative treatment
• Level 1 Patients who do not have the ability to take care of themselves because of mental or physical disability
• Level 2 Patients who are medically stable and who may be recovering from illness or surgery and require a rehabilitation program because of weakness or a need for continuous medical supervision
• Level 2 Bariatric Bariatric patients
• Level 2 Dementia Patients with dementia
• Level 3 Patients with complex but stable conditions requiring daily medical supervision and specialised care in addition to nursing care
• Level 3b As above, but also including those requiring ventilator support
• Level 3b VIP VIP patients including those requiring ventilator support

Description
• Accountable through the Board for the strategic leadership and performance of the Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH); directs the business to ensure quality patient care and strong financial performance:
- Act as the accountable officer for the LTCH and as such ensure the highest standards of governance are met and that all legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled
- Establish and make explicit the vision, mission and values for the LTCH
- Create an environment and culture that promotes and enables the LTCH to fulfill its vision and mission

Be responsible for the overall management of the LTCH and its performance in terms of:
• Service excellence and outstanding patient outcomes and experience
• Financial and clinical sustainability and growth
• Ensuring that the LTCH meets all its service obligations
• Effective internal and external communication ensuring confidence in the LTCH and highly positive stakeholder engagement

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Healthcare Management from an accredited university, OR
• A qualified and licensed medical professional with additional postgraduate management qualification

Job-Specific Skills:
• Very high level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic planning skills
• Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts and successfully resolve complex problems
• Excellent analytical skills including ability to complete quantitative and qualitative assessments of data related to hospital management
• Robust financial management ability

Minimum Related Experience:
• Significant corporate managerial experience in healthcare, ideally with CEO experience and ideally including long term care management
• Track record of success in achieving clinical and commercial outcomes and maximising opportunities
• Evidence of developing an organisational culture committed to high standards of quality and performance
