Job description / Role
We are looking for chefs with experience in contemporary pan Asian. Our restaurant is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Chef/Assistant Chef with great experience and solid culinary skills.
The chef must have:
- Experience in Asian cuisine including Thai, Chinese, and popular Japanese dishes.
- Experience in Korean and/or Vietnamese cuisine would be a strong addition.
- Experience in Peruvian restaurant would be great as well.
- Able to create fusion and contemporary dishes with European, South American and Middle Eastern cuisines.
- Must be knowledgeable about creating menus according to the customers’ needs and familiar with the whole process of restaurant operation.
- Sushi chef /cooks with experience in Japanese cold and hot cuisines.
- He must have worked in contemporary Japanese restaurants
- Experience in an Asian country is an addition.
Salary depends on experience. coverage of accommodation, medical insurance and transportation.
Requirements
- Worked in reputable contemporary Asian restaurant.
- Solid education and training.
- Have experience in creating fusion dishes and menus
- Strong experience in preparing Asian and Chinese cuisine
- knowledge of creating and crafting menu filled with Asian flavors
- Deep knowledge of equipments used in kitchen
- Profound knowledge about beverage varieties
- Good understanding of people management and gastronomy
- Ability to perform during busy periods and work stressed circumstances
- Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple activities in parallel
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Skills
- Proven working experience as an Asian chef
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
