Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a multinational Project Management and Engineering firm which operates in the railway sector. They are currently involved with the management of the Design of a new metro project in Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day accounting up to the closing process (general and analytical),
- Ensure proper reconciliation of statutory and management accounts and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting
- Produce and review the Financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement)
- Interface actively with external auditors and partners
- Optimise accounting and closing processes
- Assist in Systems development as appropriate, ensure maintenance of project accounting system, fixed asset accounting system and cost center accounting system
- Compile and gather relevant tax information, monitor the adherence to the Joint Venture and regulatory tax guidelines, create and produce tax reports (WHT, etc...)
- Manage the Accounting Team
- Support the finance and cost control team

Requirements

- Accounting qualification
- Experience in the construction sector
- Experience in the GCC
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as chief or senior accountant
- Good relational skills, ability to communicate in a clear and effective way
- Experience in Accounting system (sun system, sap, etc...)
- To show initiative and to be able to work autonomously
- Dynamic and pro active
- Good understanding of English language
- Good practice in main office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Willing to work 60 hours per week (10 hours/day, 6 days/week)
