Chief Accountant/ Finance Consultant

Job description / Role

Reporting to the Head of Accounts, the candidate responsible for that appropriate systems, policies and procedures, and internal controls are in place for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial closes, weekly cost reporting, monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual business plans and capital processes

Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervises staff responsible for bank reconciliations, bank journal entries, and bank deposits and official procedures involved
• Monitors adherence to corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and IFRS by maintaining proper accounting procedures and practices
• Oversees payroll recording, accuracy and completeness for corporate office
• Reviews analysis of financial results for reasonability, recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy, and provides superior financial analysis
• Liaises with internal and external auditors and prepares working papers as requested
• Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, and dealing with related issues on a timely basis
• Prepares monthly cash flows and forecast cash flows for divisions, business groups and departments
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and internal reporting (management reports, cash forecasts, queries, etc.) as required.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Management/Administration.
• Further education from Post Graduate with Masters or specialist qualifications preferred
• 10 – 15years of applicable industry experience in a general or corporate accounting role
• Prior restructuring experience at both consulting and implementation/execution levels
• Prior management experience in high intensity office environments
• Knowledge and experience in accounting under IFRS
• Understanding of VAT (Taxation)
• Experience in preparing accounting for reorganizations and turnarounds
• Ability to manage internal and external relationships with well-developed interpersonal, team, customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to set and meet challenging targets
• Able to work well in a fast-paced, growth environment.
• Experience in ERP Systems (EPICOR or SAP)
• Have experience in Saudi Market
